Jimmy Dodd, the Founder and CEO of PastorServe, a 24-year-old ministry committed to serving pastors and ministry leaders across the US and in several countries around the world is thrilled to join Men With a Purpose to celebrate The National Day of Prayer.

After 20 years of serving as a pastor, Jimmy formalized his ministry to other pastors in 1999 by founding PastorServe. While Jimmy has a deep love for the local church, PastorServe provides the perfect vehicle to follow God’s extended call to serve the broader church at large.

PastorServe has a staff around the US and Haiti committed to caring for pastors through coaching, consulting and crisis care. The organization focuses on the backstage of a ministry leader’s life. In this endeavor, Jimmy has had the privilege of making more than 125 trips to train leaders in Third World countries.  However, his most meaningful work is to walk with pastors in crisis who have lost hope. It is his joy to bring the hope of the Gospel to leaders in the darkest times of life.

A well-known and respected speaker, Jimmy is also the author of “Survive or Thrive,” “Pastors are People Too” and he co-authored his latest book, “What Great Ministry Leaders Get Right”.  He is the cofounder and on the board of UniteKC, a ministry committed to racial reconciliation in Kansas City, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Cross International, a ministry committed to serving the poorest of the poor around the world.

He is a graduate of Wheaton College and Gordon-Conwell Seminary.  Jimmy and his wife Sally have five children, one daughter-in-law and two grand-children. Two of their daughters were adopted from China. They live in Overland Park, KS.

Jimmy is driven by Acts 20:24 “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”

Dear Pastors and Leaders of El Paso County,

With the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to update each of you concerning the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 7th.

We believe God is shaking the nations!  Never in our lifetime has the entire world been shaken by any one thing like Covid-19.  God prophesied of this day when He spoke through Haggai, “I will shake all nations and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations and I will fill this temple with glory!” (Haggai 2:7) God is shaking our nation and the nations of the world for a great harvest. We truly believe a harvest is coming like never before.

The Church, by virtue of her faithful use of faith exercised through prayer, wields the balance of power not only in world affairs but also in the salvation of individual souls.  The Church by means of persistent, believing intercession, is able to release the Holy Spirit over a city. We believe a mighty harvest of God will come if we will pray!

This Thursday, consider joining many of us in El Paso County with these three things:
  1. As a senior pastor, consider calling your church to one hour of prayer at your church either by Zoom or coming to your ministry center (you could still practice social distancing).
  2. Consider having your church sanctuary open all day for people to come to your facility for prayer (again, social distancing would not be a problem).
  3. Join many other pastors and leaders as we convene Noon Time NDP Revival Prayer time at The Road sanctuary or zoom. In light of the virus, we will pray and remain outside for the hour together 12-1pm.  In Person at The Road @ Chapel Hills 2025 Parliament Drive

Meeting ID: 872 0795 7383
Password: NDP

The prayer power of our churches will determine the destiny of our city.  We hope you will join in this special day. Come in person or zoom!

Carpe Diem Gloriae Dei,
